Solution to 2D Transient Temperature Distribution in Rectangular Domain

For the second time in my undergraduate coursework, I was assigned to solve the 2D transient heat equation numerically. The difference between this assignment and my previous work in MATH 3359: Mathematical Modeling are the boundary conditions on the 2D plate. By writing energy balance equations for the nodes receiving heat flux, I developed a complete explicit solution. My code and results, including convergence plots, are included in the final report, shown below.
